Katie's prayer: Third Day's "You're Everywhere"

Like the wind that blows no one really knows
From where it comes or where it goes
So it is with Your Holy Spirit Lord

A good friend of mine once told me that she loved the wind because it was the Holy Spirit. Wind is one of the symbols for the Holy Spirit. So when she was at the park or somewhere, when she felt the wind, she felt God’s presence. I really liked that so I stole it. (: Not always, but 85-90% of the time, I’m reminded of the Holy Spirit when I feel the wind.

Tonight was different. Cause tonight’s wind was cold wind. (like 50 degrees cold) I wasn’t thinking of the Holy Spirit. I was thinking this is cold, it sucks! I think at one point, I even said to the people I was with - “can we go to where there’s no wind.” While sitting here praying, I realized that it’s never during winter that I think of the wind as the Holy Spirit. It’s only on nice spring days and nice fall days. Only when it’s nice and feels good. The problem, sometimes the Holy Spirit isn’t all that nice. And by that, I mean, sometimes things don’t go my way, which is not nice. Sometimes, it’s uncomfortable for me. But the truth is that it’s still God’s will, it’s still God. I guess I just need to realize that you have to take the good with the bad, and cause it’s God, it will be all good in the end.
