Do you know what you are getting yourself into?
I “found” this song about 2 years ago. After one play, it became my new favorite. Mainly because of the above line. Two years ago at this time, I just graduated college. I had applied to the only two parishes in the diocese that were hiring. I had yet to do any interviews. (I looked that up, my interview was June 16, one month from today!) It was a time of uncertainty. Uncertain about what my future was. Uncertain if I was doing what I should have been doing. I mean, I felt called towards youth ministry, but at times, I wasn’t 100% sure. Uncertain about how good I’d be. I honestly don’t think I really knew what I was getting myself into. Here it is, two years later, and this song is becoming my new favorite again. But this time for a different line...
I'm getting into You because You got to me, in a way words can't describe.
A simple reminder that God needs to be the center. Something that’s easy to forget at this time of year. Because now is the time where there’s less programming, not seeing the kids as often, and more cleaning and organizing filing cabinets and storage closets.
