God You’re my God, You’re my God
It’s such a simple and pretty obvious phrase. But I wonder how often it is completely true. How often to I make “gods” out of other aspects of my life? Even tonight, I was busy working and doing other stuff until about midnight. Part of me really wanted to just go straight to bed since I hadn’t even gotten the song for the day. Tonight, I had the temptation to make sleep more important than God. I get temptations EVERY day to make something more important than God. Honestly, sometimes, I give in to that temptation. Dear God, help me to make YOU the ONLY God in my life. Amen.
