Megan's prayer: Hillsong's "From the Inside Out"

In my heart, in my soul
I give you control

This is a very catchy song. It is also a very powerful prayer. When we sing it, I start by singing it on autopilot - singing it out because the words flow easily and I love the melody to the song. But, without fail, every time we sing this I end up catching myself and asking myself if I really believe what I am singing. Normally, it's a very powerful "yes" and I continue to belt out the song, but occasionally I will have to stop and really think. Are my actions saying that I'm giving control to God? Am I really willing to live out this prayer I am singing? Or am I merely singing it because I like how it flows?

Tonight, instead of singing it loudly as the song played, I forced myself to really listen to the words, and pray them.
