Your will above all else

I’m at the point right now where I subscribe to so many blogs that something has to really stick out for me to even bother reading it. Then, of those, very few will be starred, even less shared. Today was one of the few occasions when I read a blog posting that I not only read, but starred and shared. You can read the whole thing here. I really liked this idea of granularity of prayer. Too often in my life, I’m praying at the bottom level. A very specific prayer that will benefit me. Oddly enough, those are the prayers God doesn’t answer. It’s those prayers higher up the chain that are less specific and more focused on whatever God wants to do rather than what I want that get answered.

Tonight my prayer, as high up the chain as you can get: Lord, I want You, just You.
