Katie's prayer: David Crowder Band's "You Alone"

I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive!

The weather this summer has been really crazy! Today we had another super severe thunderstorm, and lucky me was out in it. Luckily, riding in a car, not driving it. There were times when I wouldn’t have been able to tell you if there was a road or not, cause I couldn’t even see it. The experience was made even worse by going down winding roads and having a 15-passenger van behind us that obviously wanted to go faster than we were going. When we got back home, we realized we drove through a tornado warning kind of storm.

For the fourth time this summer I was caught in this type of super rain while driving/riding in a car. It’s not a great feeling. More than once I’ve had my life flash before my eyes, more than once I’ve been brought to thinking of nothing but Hail Mary’s. But amazingly, I have survived all of these scary moments. Looking back on it, I’m amazed at that fact, especially after today’s adventure (the worst one yet). Tonight, I am thankful to be alive.
