Megan's prayer: Kirk Franklin's "Lean on Me"

5+ years ago, I downloaded this song, thinking I was downloading a much different version of "Lean on Me". Without evening listening to what version I had downloaded it, I burned this song, plus a dozen others, onto a CD and stuck it in my car.  Days later, when I finally got to listening to the whole CD, I was surprised to find a song I didn't know. I didn't realize at the time was an awesome mistake I had made. Quite quickly, this song became my absolute favorite.

There are so many memories that come rushing back to me each time I listen to it. This song was the way that I started talking about my faith with one of my friends back in high school. Many times, when I have a bad day, I'll turn this song on, and all the bad things seem to melt away. Maybe it is the lyrics, maybe it is how passionately it is sang. Regardless, this song is one of my favorites.

I don't have any specific prayers that go along with this song tonight. Instead, I'm enjoying just listening to the song, and reflecting on all of the memories that come with it.
