Chris' prayer: Casting Crowns' "Here I Go Again"

Father, hear my prayer
I need the perfect words
Words that [they] will hear
And know they're straight from You

I pray something similar to this every time I have to give a talk or witness, every time I lead a program, every time I lead prayer before our planning meetings for the youth ministry program. I pray to get out of the way and let God's words speak through me. When I'm able to do that, when I'm able to let what He wants to say come through, the event goes well and always exceeds my expectations. That moment, in some fantastic way, becomes perfect, or more perfect than I could ever make it on my own.
