I think one of the most important things as a Catholic is to be a mirror of God's love so that others may see it. In this song, there is a struggle with the singer not being able to show his friend God's love, and he is afraid that his friend won't have another chance to see God's love. I think often people struggle with showing God's love, and blame it on the fact that "we are humans - we aren't perfect". I know I've used the excuse before, but in reality we were made in God's image - it is at the very core of us that we should be able to show God's love to others. That is our mission here, one that we have to try to live out every day.
