Chris' prayer: O.C. Supertones' "Away from You"

So I will remain still and silent,
for fear of the words I might say.

I have a tendency to bite my tongue, even when I want to speak up about something. Whether I'm at work and know a better way to do something, or with the youth ministry program at church, or with my friends, I find it is often the best policy to just keep quiet and let things run their course. Many times it just isn't worth speaking up about.

Right now, however, is not one of those times. The adults that help out with the youth ministry program are all exchanging emails talking about how we can do a better job. And I most certainly did not keep my mouth shut. Instead I went to the other end of the spectrum, writing one of my longest emails ever. I'm not convinced yet, but I hope that the effort was worth it and that what we say will effect change for the better.
