Katie's prayer: Jars of Clay's "Jealous Kind"
I love singing! In the car, in the shower, around my apartment, at Mass, Adoration, wherever, usually as loud as I can. (I think that's why I was initially attracted to this blogging project - it would introduce me to new songs to sing and with a new perspective behind the singing.) But I have a problem with this song. I don't want to sing along with it. I think because most of the song, the singer speaks of unfaithfulness and sins and avoiding God. That's just not the thing you want to sing as loud as you can, no matter how true it might be. Yeah, that's right, this song speaks much truth (I'm sure for all of us). But the one good part about this song, it talks about God's amazing love. And how despite our unfaithfulness and sins and avoiding Him, He still loves us!
