I am not moving until you move me.
When my faith is lacking, and other areas of my life are very busy, I tend to take a nonchalant approach to my faith. I'm not going to make the effort to make it better, but if God wants to come and move me - to show me how much he loves me - then I'll just go with the flow.
I think I can get stuck thinking that it's up to God and that I don't have a hand in my faith formation, and this is not a good thing to think. While God does play a part, I still need to hold up my end.
I think this is an important reminder as I prepare to give a talk this weekend about leading a life of praise and worship.
