Katie's prayer: Cheer Up Charlie's "Not Moving"

I'm asking you humbly to change me where I am

I was really bothered by this line. You can't be changed "where you are." Any change requires movement or growth of some kind. Sometimes that growth or movement must happen before the change can happen. One of my favorite quotes, "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." There are a bunch of things and areas in my life that need change. But I can't sit back and just expect the change to come. I have to start the ball rolling, I have start to move from where I am to where I want to be if I want the change to happen. As easy as it may seem to humbly ask God to change me where I am, I just don't think that's going to cut it.
