Katie's prayer: Jars of Clay's "Hymn"
This song kinda bothered me. There were some lines that, to me, made no sense. It's like they wrote a sentence and then took out some words. And some sentences are complete, but I don't quite understand the point that the singer is trying to get across. (maybe I just need more sleep) I mean... That I may in Your house but kneel.. what does that mean? It's not completely coherent. But, you know, I thought about it, and sometimes my prayers are coherent. They are to me and hopefully they are to God. But if someone outside was listening in, they wouldn't understand the point behind my prayers, they might even think my sentences are totally messed up and make no sense at all. And I just realized, anyone reading this is "on the outside." I'm sure sometimes you don't fully understand my prayers, how I was led to something by the lyrics, or whatever. But that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that I don't understand the point of this song, it doesn't matter that you might not be able to understand me. All that matters is that God understands, and He does, cause He's just that cool.
