God took a nobody, made him a somebody
God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. Really this quote is the only thing that keeps me moving from day to day in my job. There are some days when I honestly think, “What in the world am I doing here? I have NO idea what I’m doing.” But the truth is that if God can take a stuttering murderer like Moses and turn him into a leader to save people from pharaoh, then he can take me and turn me into a great youth minister/confirmation coordinator/director of religious education. And just to keep me on my toes, anytime I start to think that I’m doing great and I can do it all by myself, things like last night and this morning happen. And I’m reminded that God qualifies the called, not Katie. And I’m never going to be 100% qualified to do this job without Him.
