Megan's prayer: Jars of Clay's "Amazing Grace"

Amazing Grace I feel you coming up slowly now
My faith has always been a slow building thing. I didn't join LifeTeen till Junior year of High School, and I felt behind as soon as I joined because everyone my age had 2+ years more of LifeTeen than I had. Even as a CORE member, I sometimes see teens how are more knowledgeable in their faith, or seem to have a deeper relationship with God than I do. As though they had hopped on the "fast track" while I took the scenic route.

These things really used to bother me. Lately, though, I have realized that it doesn't matter how quick my relationship with God develops, as long as it is always developing. While others may get more out of diving right in, I have taken (and am still taking) the time to get to know God, to put more of my trust in Him, to hand over my life. As long as I continue on that track, continually moving forward, I don't need to worry about the pace of others faith development.
