You and I were made to worship
All the youth group nights this summer have been going through the T3 Bible Timeline with Mark Hart. Either last week or the week before, was over Exodus. Mark started talking about the 10 Commandments, especially about the commandment: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” He was talking about how this is a commandment that is easily forgotten in our society today. Just pay attention and you’ll see. I started paying attention, and I was shocked. It’s every where! Just tonight, during a half hour tv show (that really, once you get rid of the time for commercials is probably only 15-20 minutes). I heard the phrase “Oh my God” at least 5-6 times! And let me tell you, they weren’t using it in prayer! I’m worried about what this kind of exposure is doing to people growing up in this kind of society. I guess all there really is to do is pray.
