Megan's prayer: Robert Kochis' "Blest Are They"

The follow list is made up of some of the groups of people mentioned in tonight's song:

• the poor in spirit
• those full of sorrow
• the lowly ones
• those who hunger and thirst
• those who suffer in faith
• those who suffer hate

I'm know that I fit in that list somewhere. I know that most people fit into that list somewhere. Even those who seem to lead perfect lives occasionally find themselves on this list. But the song tells us that it is okay to be on this list:

Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you,
Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God!

Is it possible to ask for a bigger gift from God? He calls us blessed, holy - even though we are broken. He is giving us His kingdom.
