The first time I heard this song was when I used it during a prayer group that I was leading. During that particular night, we were talking about living our life for God. The discussion was great - people had some good ideas how they could live their lives for God. The problem isn't coming up with those ideas, it's living them out. I'm not sure that anyone's life was drastically changed after that night, despite how much they wanted it to be changed.
I feel like similar things happen when I go on retreat, like I am on this weekend. I see areas where I can and should improve my life so that it is more focused on God, but once I come home from the retreat - to reality - I have a hard time living out these changes I wanted to see.
I hope this time is different. I hope that I can redirect my life this weekend, and have the strength and stamina to keep it going once I get home.
