One of the CORE team member consistently talks about how showing the teens they are loved in more important than forcing the Catholic Church beliefs onto them. I've always thought he had a great point, and tried to show my love to the teens, instead of just pushing my faith onto them.
I think for some of the teens, this has definitely brought me closer to them. Being able to be there for them when they need someone has helped me make a difference in their life (I think). I hope that my actions do speak louder than my words and that all of the teens (and other people) I interact with know they are loved.
