Just wanna show you loveI had the opportunity to attend an annual retreat my church puts on for all the men of the parish. I had heard about this retreat for the last few years, and from the beginning I knew that I would one day attend it. Even knowing that, I put it off and put it off until I figured I should probably just go for it.
One of my favorite parts of the retreat was receiving a manila envelope overflowing with affirmation letters: letters from my family, letters from my friends (even those who aren't spiritual at all), letters from my girlfriend and her family, letters from people I've never met. It was incredible, both the number of letters I received as well as the wonderful things they contained. Words I will treasure forever.
It is nice to be loved.
