I must admit, I didn't even make it through 30 seconds of the song before I stopped and reflected on what I had already heard. At the beginning of the song, they sing "let the walls come down". I just finished watching a video of Thomas Friedman, author of "The World is Flat," discussing his book. One thing he focused on was the Berlin wall coming down and how that "flattened" the world. It flattened the world in such a way that it is easier to communicate with other countries and easier for people to "go global." (link to the video for those interested)
While listening to the song tonight, I wasn't thinking so much about the Berlin Wall, as I was about my own walls that I put up. The walls of fears, insecurities, and self-consciousness. These walls are keeping God out. If I were to listen to the song, and let the walls come down, maybe my heart could be more open, and more focused on, the love of God. Maybe it would help me to better communicate with God.
