Chris' prayer: Matt Maher's "Your Grace is Enough"

My favorite song and my most-played song. Absolutely perfect to me.

This song holds a lot of sentimental value to me and that might be why I love it so much. When I moved back home to St. Charles to help out with Life Teen, going to a seminar on how to be a good Core Team member was one of the first things I did. There was tons of information presented that weekend and it was just a wonderful and informative experience, one I wish we could send all of our Core Team on.

The best part, though, were the praise and worship sessions and singing along with all the other people there- people who were just like me- just starting their youth ministry journey.

Your Grace is Enough was the main song we learned that weekend, as it had just come out around that time. Each time I hear it I'm reminded of the beginnings of this journey I'm on, this voyage that I love so much. But more than that, this song represents the entirety of my experience as a youth minister. It is only through God's Grace that I have been able to succeed. I have failed and failed and failed again at leading these teens to Christ, at being a good role model for them, and only by His Grace am I able to overcome that and actually succeed. [His] grace is enough for me.
