It's in my hands, my feetHave you ever been so happy that the joy inside could not be contained in your heart and head? So overflowing, it extended all the way down your arms and legs to your hands and feet? Its a unique feeling for me, and one I absolutely love.
I usually feel such joy starting in the form of great anticipation and having that almost shaky feeling continue on through the event. I've had it happen to me before a big Blues hockey game, before a vacation, but I feel it most before adoration or Mass. It certainly isn't an every-time thing, but it happens most before those events. When it does start, when I can feel it moving down my arms, causing my hands to tingle- with joy!- I know that whatever I'm about to do is going to be good- great, even.
I think that, as humans, we can inherently recognize and anticipate goodness. We are all hardwired, in a sense, to see, experience, and participate in goodness, and when we see that it is about to happen, our joy "centers" can no longer contain our happiness. I, of course, have no science to back this up- just years of feeling this happen in my own life.
