Chris' prayer: Shane and Shane's "I Miss You"

Put down your paper plate
Come to the table made
Deep blue china
Found on the table by the wine
So fine
Most days for lunch, I'll eat one of the "healthy" microwave meals. I'm not too brand loyal, so I rotate between Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine, and one other brand depending on which is cheapest when I go to stock up. I've learned which ones from each company are my favorites, but before doing so, I relied on the pictures on the boxes. Unfortunately, the pictures on the boxes look nothing like the food inside. Especially when you consider that I'm eating out of a black, plastic "dish," if you can call it that.

On one of the brands' boxes, it gives a couple of hints for enjoying your food and making the whole meal a little more satisfying. One of these hints is to serve the food on an actual glass/ceramic/china plate. It leads to a more fulfilling meal, the box says.

I think that is what this song is saying, too. We could go through our lives using just the container we're given (our bodies), and we could probably get by just fine here on Earth. Or, we can work a little bit harder, spending time nourishing our spiritual side as well, and achieve a more fulfilling life- a life spent with God, and an eternity spent at His banquet.
