Free to be the one thing you were meant to be
I believe that the one thing we were all meant to be is God's children. We are equal in the sense that God loves everyone of us the same, and no matter what we do, his love for us doesn't change. He sees us all as his children, and loves us all perfectly.
The sad part is that many people can't see that. We are all so quick to put labels on each other, and when we do that, people become defined by their labels. The one thing that we should be defined by is no longer God's child, but it is our race, or our gender, or our sexual orientation, or our physical build. We start to value those different than us less. We don't see that we are all first and foremost God's children.
I pray that this changes. I pray that we all become free to be the one thing (we) were meant to be. I pray that the labels go away. I pray that we see each other as another one of God's children and that all of the labels simply becomes things that make us unique, not things that define us.
