Chris' prayer: Veggie Tales' "All through the Night"

Today was just about the perfect day.

I got to sleep in a bit, despite being woken up earlier than I had planned by a parade too close to my apartment. I watched one of the television shows I like, then enjoyed some "summer time" driving to my uncle and aunt's house to pick up a water purifier I'm borrowing from them. The weather was nice and the pavement was dry, so I had the music up loud and was singing along to all the lyrics. After picking up the purifier, I did a little shopping, then stopped for lunch and got a couple hours of reading in. Then, I headed over to my girlfriend's parents' house for a nice family dinner. And now, to end the day on a high note, I'm doing my nightly prayers.

It really couldn't have been any better of a day, and if you asked me just a couple days ago what I would be doing today, none of the above would have been on the list. And now, to top it all off, a wonderful lullaby to end the day.

Thank you, Lord, for the nice, relaxing day you have given me. Thank you for showing me, again, just how much you love me.
