The instant this song started, it transported me back to grade school. Despite not ever hearing this song before, by the end of the first line, it just sounded to me like something we would sing at All School Masses during grade school. Then, I got to the part where the chorus is singing, and it sounded even more like those Masses. 400 or so kids, a few dozen teachers, a couple random parishioners, and songs like today's.
Back then, my spiritual journey was in its infancy. I was just a few feet from the starting line, but, I think, headed in the right direction. It has been a long road since then, full of ups and downs, twists and turns, but a journey that has ultimately been fulfilling. My life's greatest work lies in those metaphorical footsteps. A journey that is miles and miles from where it began, and yet still in the very same building.
