I love this version of “Oh Happy Day.” I remember it from when I was younger, watching Sister Act II. And since then, I have watched this clip from Sister Act II on YouTube countless times.
First off, this is the perfect song for today. Today was such a “happy day”. I had the chance to learn, to work, to laugh, to pray with my boyfriend, to see Jesus, to visit with my family, and the chance to sing this amazing song over and over in the car. There was SO much joy in today.
More importantly, this song related so beautifully to my prayer yesterday. In the YouTube video for this song, the young man singing starts off so shy and reserved, and then slowly takes charge. He makes the song his own, wowing people with his performance. It’s just another reminder to me that I can also do this. I can reach out of my comfort zone, take risks, and I will wow people in the process.
