Megan's prayer: Matt Maher's "For Your Glory"

The talk I went to tonight focused on finding the good in bad situations - specifically, finding God in the hardship of unemployment. Even though I am not unemployed currently, I still thought a talk could be interesting, especially since the speaker was Fr. Jeff.

Not surprisingly, I took away a lot from the night. The thing that stands out the most is the idea of looking at our struggles and finding the gifts God has given to us through them. It is in these troubled times that we most deeply encounter God and seek his help. It is through these times that we are challenged to change, to find out more about ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses.

In Matt Maher's song tonight, he talks of coming to God in all seasons... during all times of our lives. As I continue to encounter changes in my life and learning to deal with new struggles, I pray that I continually remember to come to God, for only he can help me.
