Megan's prayer: Casting Crown's "Your Love is Extravagant"

This past Wednesday, we had senior night at Cletus to honor the teens who are going to college and leaving lifeteen. One of the ways we honor them is by having a CORE member stand up and say a few nice words about one teen - talking about how they have grown, changed over the years in lifeteen.

I had the opportunity to talk about Erin, a past blogger. I had thought about what I wanted to say about her, but hadn't written down anything specific. While listening to the music during the dinner, today's song came on. It's one of my favorite lifeteen songs, so I decided to use it as part of my speech for Erin.

Well, as beautiful as the lyrics are, speaking them, and acting as though I had written them specifically for Erin, turned into a quite humorous situation. I felt like this was the perfect way to honor Erin. Bringing something so beautiful as this song, and sharing it with everyone, while we all had a chance to laugh together. Maybe some thought it was irreverent, or inappropriate, but that wasn't my intent. I find joy in laughing, and I was thrilled to share my joy with everyone around me in that way.

Just as this song brought me so much joy and laughter on Wednesday, I was filled with the same joy today. I had a wonderful day - I felt God's presence constantly. I'm so insanely lucky.
