The word that sticks out to me in this song is intimate. While typically given a sexual connotation in secular conversation, intimate also refers to that which is private and personal, detailed and thorough, familiar, and close. All words that I would want to describe my relationship with God. And while I'm sure that God intimately knows me, I can't help but feel that I need to do more on my end. I've kind of been coasting in my relationship lately and really need to find that connection again. I need to feel close to God again. Lord, I'm giving you permission to capture my heart again.
