I would jump if I'd knew you'd catch me
Also at this bible study I went to, we were discussing believing. The leader, Chris, stood by a chair and explained, that by looking at the chair he believes it could hold him up. He could have one of the guys come over and jump on it. And he'd still believe it would hold him up. But he wasn't really believing, becauce he never sat on the chair to test his belief. True belief invovles trust.
I heard this lyric near the beginning and thought well wait a second, shouldn't you be jumping anyway regardless of whether or not you knew you'd be caught? Sometimes trust and belief meants you don't know.
But then it does kinda make sense because I do find myself not wanting to jump at times because I'm afraid I won't be caught at the bottom. My fear needs to get out of the way so my belief can rule my life.
