Katie's prayer: Big Daddy Weave's "Give up, Let go"

And oh, sometimes the old me creeps back in

I have the hardest time picking a favorite song. It changes pretty much weekly, sometimes even daily. It all depends on how my life is going, and what song speaks to me. Today's song is one that has been my favorite many times. Since I acquired this song in 2007 (thanks Chris!) it's been in the top five of my most played songs. Most of the time it has spent in the number 1 spot.

I think the reason this song has been in the top so often is because I so often relate to it. I try and I try and I try to give it all to God. But like the song states, the old me just creeps back in, without me even realizing it! And suddenly, I'm making all the plans in my life without consulting God. Then something happens, I realize it, and try to give it all back up again. That's exactly what happened after I heard today's song. After finding out I got the job, I slowly began to take back the control. It's time to give it all to God again!

Help me give up, yeah, help me let go.
