Chris' prayer: Cheer Up Charlie's "Save Me"

Teach me the love You hold for all
A pretty easy statement to understand, at least intellectually. It is grammatically correct. The longest word is five letters. Only one syllable in each of the words. Most have learned each of these words by the time we begin Kindergarten. I imagine that, if asked what the most important words in the sentence are, they might choose teach, love, possibly You. I would argue, though, that the most important words are for all.

For it is those two words that seems to trip up a lot of Christians, myself often included. We forget that the Love that God has extends to every single person. And, since it does extend to every single person, we are called to treat that person with the same Love that God gives them. That is, an unlimited, unbound, unending, overflowing Love.
Lord, help me to share your love for all.
