I know about what you've been going through.
I sometimes get the thoughts "no one can know how I'm feeling right now" and "even if they knew, they wouldn't be able to help." Because of these stupid thoughts, I keep a lot of stuff in. That is, until things get so backed up on the inside that I have to let it out, usually through crying or through extreme anger and resentment. All because I think that no one could ever feel what I'm feeling. But that's stupid! No matter what I'm feeling, Jesus has experienced it, loneliness, anger, sadness, joy, excitement, abandonment, acceptance, fear, anticipation, optimism, disappointment, everything. One of my favorite quotes from The Passion of the Christ goes something like "Remember when the world hates you, that it hated me first" -Jesus. It so quickly reminds me that I'm not alone in my suffering, I'm not alone in my feelings, I'm not alone, Jesus is right there with me. Jesus is that one person who knows exactly how I'm feeling and the one person who can actually help me through anything. So what else is there to do but to turn to Jesus and listen to Him sing to me...
Come here and cry on my shoulder
I'll hold you 'til it's over
I'll resuce you tonight
Let My arms be your shelter
Your hiding place forever
I'll love you more then life
