Katie's prayer: David Crowder Band's "The Glory of it All"

After night
Comes a light
Dawn is here
It’s a new day, a new day

I love sleep. Sometimes, it’s the best part of the day. The thing I love most about sleep is that it ends one day and begins the next. I mean, I could, if I wanted, stay up all night tonight until tomorrow night. But if I did that, it’d just feel like one long day. (Here’s where I have to apologize, cause I’m not sure if I’m even making sense of what I’m saying.) Sleep offers a nice break between days, helps to separate them. Helps me to realize that what happened yesterday, I can still change. Tomorrow, I can be better than I was today. One reminder of this is what I was talking about Tuesday. One of the tips they gave for messing up your Lenten promise is to begin again. Just because I messed up yesterday doesn’t mean today has to be the same. It’s a new day. Tomorrow is a new day to be better, to try again, and this time to hopefully not fail. And it all begins with my favorite activity - sleep.
