Shine your light and let the whole world see
Well, I did it. My first Confirmation class is completely finished! Almost all of the kids were confirmed last night. All in all, it was a wonderful evening. I wasn’t late, my kids didn’t embarrass me, I think I only mispronounced one or two names, the Bishop’s homily was wonderful (one of the best I’ve heard from him), the cake delicious, and the wonderful surprise of getting a present from my kids. I can only hope and pray that I did the best I could with this group. The majority of them have not been attending youth group activities, so I’m kinda worried some of them might have seen last night as their “graduation” from the faith. I pray that they listened during Bish Finn’s homily where he stated basically the line above. He told them to take this wonderful grace they are getting and use it. Take the good news to everyone, including themselves (if that makes sense, probably not, but it’s late so I don’t care). So tonight, my prayer is for my newly confirmed kids, as well as the three who didn’t make it last night.
