He'll take the pain away
Right now I have multiple pains. Parents who are trying to blame me for everything (even though it’s not my fault), parents trying to make excuses for their sons who can’t attend Confirmation because of a football game where they *might* play, a new Confirmation class that can’t be quiet for longer than five seconds, people who won’t turn in paperwork that was due a long time ago, people who won’t return my phone calls, and people I want to strangle. But there is one pain where I really feel God is calling me to pray about today.
Last night, after taking some medicine in a pill form, I had a knot in my throat. Almost like the pill got stuck. I swallowed some water and immediately went to bed. When I woke up this morning, and all day today, I still have that knot in my throat. I have tried so many things to get rid of it - chug water, eat food, massage my throat, putting ice on it, putting heat on it, lying down, sitting up, calling my mother for advice, taking some cough syrup everything I can think of to try and get this pain to go away. Everything that is except pray.
Dear Jesus, the pain in my throat is getting unbearable. Please take my pain away. Amen.
