Megan's prayer: Andy Cloninger's "How Awesome is the Lord"

Shout to God
Every Friday afternoon I take my students out for an extra recess. They think I'm doing it to be nice to them, but I'm really the one needing a break. Regardless, as soon as the reach the outside doors (and sometimes before), they start shouting. Yelling and screaming out of pure joy and excitement for those extra 20 minutes of kickball I have given them. They are so overcome with joy and excitement, I don't think they are conscious of their shouting. It just comes out.

Sometimes, perhaps during a very moving Adoration experience, I will find myself shouting. It's not that I think I need to be loud so others can hear me, but it just comes out as a natural reaction. I'm so overcome with love and joy for God that I find myself shouting.

I think all of our lives should be filled with these small but amazing experience. Experience where we experience so much joy that the only thing we can do is shout to God.
