Today was one of those days where I just read the lyrics before I was able to listen to the song. When I listened to the song, I noticed something. There were a lot more lyrics than what I read. A lot of stuff that was left out. A word or two in the first verse, maybe one in the refrain, a couple more words here and there. Then, at least one verse, probably more like 2, completely left out. I immediately started to type out the missing lyrics - my iTunes lyrics has to be 100% perfect and complete.
I noticed two things - I was more worried about getting the lyrics in my iTunes perfect than I was with what the lyrics were actually saying - not good. Secondly, I noticed that sometimes (usually actually), God (like the original lyrics I got) is not going to reveal everything there is to reveal Going back to earlier in the week when I was getting mad at God for not letting me in on that big secret that is my life. Here again, God is sending me the message that I’m not always going to know everything, but that’s ok. So, I’m going to return the lyrics to the incomplete ones to help remind me that I’m not going to always know everything, but that’s ok. Sometimes it can be good. Dear Jesus, help me to always realize that ignorance really can be bliss.
