Katie's prayer: Jars of Clay's "Frail"

I love this song. And really, I can’t pick out one lyric to pray about, because it’s not the lyrics that I loved about this song. What really struck me about this song is the amount of time that is not spent singing - it’s just instrumental music. Words don’t even come until over a minute and a half into the song and they stop with like three minutes left to go! And as odd as it is for me (a singer by nature and someone who loves to sing along to songs), this was my favorite part of the song.

After a mentally trying day, a day where my brain was just bombarded with work, this instrumental time of not having to think, not having to pay attention to any lyrics, just being. No pressure, no thinking, just being. Just taking the time to be with God and let Him be with me. Coming at the perfect time, in my day, and in my life. Thank you Jesus!
