Chris' prayer: Kirk Franklin's "Something about the Name Jesus"

I love the simplicity in this song, and particularly the chorus. The repetition seems perfectly balanced and works to calm my mind. I close my eyes and just lie here and listen to this song, allowing the prayer to relax my brain and put me at ease. A very simple prayer, but one that I feel could be sung forever.

When I used to wait tables, whenever I would get upset or frustrated, I would sing a song to myself. That song, "Prepare, ye, the Way of the Lord" would work to get me out of my troubled mood and help me see all the good that was happening around me. It would take care of any problem I was having. This song feels like it could be used the same way, singing the chorus to myself over and over, letting its message sink in. There is something about the name Jesus that just takes care of all of life's issues.
