Chris' prayer: Jars of Clay's "Portrait of an Apology"

I remember it much...
I think, by the end of this project, one of my favorite things to do will be to look back on the posts that I've written and see what I was going through a year or two ago, or further down the road, many years ago. I anticipate thinking, "it seemed so tough at the time. I remember it much harder," or, "that really seemed like a wonderful time. I remember it much happier." I anticipate, upon further reflection, and with the knowledge of how things turn out, believing that all of these emotions I've gone through won't really be that big of a deal.

Sometimes it is tough to maintain that perspective, that, even though things are rough right now, they will be better, and when they are, the tough times won't have seemed *that* bad. But I think it is important to keep that, to remember that there is a greater plan going on here, and that each day is but a small, small step toward the ultimate goal.
