Megan's prayer: Matt Maher's "Remembrance"

Lord, we remember You
And remembrance leads us to worship
And as we worship You
Our worship leads to communion
We respond to Your invitation, we remember You

I love the steps that are involved in getting to "communion."  we have to respond to an invitation, we remember God, we worship Him, and the we join Him at the table for communion.

I think each of these parts are important, and need to be present for us to be in communion with God. It's a path, it's a process. Joining in communion without first answering the invitation, remembering God, and worshiping God would make it less important.

Sometimes I would like to just skip the initial steps of any process I am part of, and just get to the final point, but this song reminds me of how important the process is.
