a spotless bride
I love this imagery. There is something really powerful about the image of white, purity, spotlessness, and perfection. It is a really neat thought to think that Jesus is coming and looking for me as His spotless bride, but in reality in this world, I'll never be spotless. I can certainly try, but only by His coming will I be one hundred percent perfect because His love will make me that way. I suppose my prayer is not exactly to be a spotless bride, but a totally willing one. A bride willing to let Jesus love me to the point that I trust Him to take away Earthly things and love and accept the life He has for me. With first year of school coming to a really rapid close, it is becoming more clear how UNclear my future is. I take immense comfort knowing that God does have this plan for me if I am willing enough to let Him guide me toward that goal of perfection in Him. I pray to get as close as I can to spotless here, and in super thanksgiving for the grace that God has to clean me back off even when I fall!
