I'd really love to know

I'm not really big on gossip. I try to avoid it whenever possible, and when I catch myself spreading some, it disappoints me. A lot of times, it is just easier to love people when you don't know what everyone else is saying about them, when you're just oblivious. There are other occasions, however, where I wish I knew more. Sometimes I feel like I could help more if I just knew what someone was thinking, what they were feeling, or what really happened.

I think God feels this way about us. Even though He already knows what has happened to us, or what we are going through, I envision Him just wanting to hear it directly from us and acting like it is all new information. I envision Him always waiting, patiently, whispering, "You know I'd really love to know..."
