I don't know that a particular line or word sticks out to me tonight. It is more the tone and pacing of the song. It seems in harmony with how I am feeling right now about my own faith and about my ministry. It is a kind of melancholy that will disappear briefly, showing hope, only to return.
Last week, I felt this spiritual inspiration for but a few hours while I was at work. I'm not sure if it was a small sign that everything is okay, that there is growth happening, or just some welcome relief from the general...sadness seems like too strong a word...that I'm going through spiritually right now. I just need...something. I wish I knew what that something was.
Hopefully that something comes, and hopefully that spiritual inspiration returns. I'm ready.
