My girlfriend, Megan, and I are like most other couples who have been together awhile: we tell each other we love each other on a daily basis. But we differ from many other couples in that we often add another word to that statement: today. I love you, today. I love you RIGHT NOW.
I guess that could be taken negatively, but I must say, it is nice to have that spelled out for me. She loves me today. That is so great for me because today is where I am. I'm not living my tomorrows and I'm not reliving my yesterdays. I'm living my today. And today, Megan loves me. More precisely, today, God loves me through Megan.
