Chris' prayer: Big Daddy Weave's "Neighborhoods"

My bright tomorrow doesn't blind me
to what God has for me today
Although it might sound kind of cocky, I'm honest when I say that I don't worry about my salvation. Getting to Heaven is just not something I'm so much concerned with. That sounds kind of strange to say as a Christian, but it is how I really feel. It is just too tough to figure out what I have to do to get into Heaven (the different interpretations and verses in the Bible are just too numerous). God will ultimately judge me based on however He sees fit.

Rather, I'm concerned about bringing Heaven *here.* I want people to know about God's Love right now, on this Earth, in this broken place. I want them to see how His grace and love has transformed my life, and for them to know that it is possible in their lives, too. I want to share this immense joy and happiness with them right now, right here.

This is my challenge. This is what God has for me today while I await what He has for me tomorrow. Tomorrow looks bright, but that doesn't mean that today isn't going to be.
